Mother's Day

Hi Mom,

In honor of Mother's Day, and on account of you being super-mom, the only other person besides Ribbit that I can wake up in the middle of the night hyperventalating, and my personal slave (how many times did you tell me "Do I look like the maid?" and I replied "yes") I want to show you the really cool scarf I knit you, even though you won't be able to wear it until next January because you live in Hotlanta.

Pattern: Backyard Leaves by Annie Modesitt in Scarf Style

Yarn: Karabella Aurora 8 in color 17 (mustard)

Needles: US 8

Amount used: 3 balls minus a little

Modifications made: My mom is petite so I did 8 repeats instead of 11 on each panel.

Comments: I love this pattern -- it is simple, elegant and fun to knit. Annie Modesitt is a genious and Karabella Aurora 8 is a divine yarn with which to knit.

Happy Birthday, little sister

My little sister turns 22 today! And graduates from college next week!  I seems like just yesterday that I was torturing her like any good older sibling! Joyeux Anniversaire, P.McGoo.
